Licence terms for the iXentBench source code.

In plain terms: you may read, run and modify this code for research, teaching or personal learning. You may not redistribute it, and you may not use it commercially without a written agreement. The game itself — Caps i Caps© — is protected separately and is not covered by this licence. This summary is for orientation only; the terms below are what applies.

1 · Definitions

"Software" means the source code, configuration files and accompanying documentation published in the iXentBench repository.

"Game" means the rules, mechanics, design, name and concept of Caps i Caps©, which are protected separately and are not licensed by this document. No right over the Game is granted here, expressly or by implication.

"Commercial Purpose" means any use intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation, including:

selling, licensing, renting or otherwise distributing the Software for a fee;
providing the Software, or any service derived from it, to third parties in exchange for financial compensation;
using the Software to evaluate, train or benchmark AI models where the results are used in the development, marketing or sale of a commercial product or service;
integrating the Software, in whole or in part, into a commercial product or service.

Publicly funded or industry-sponsored academic research is not a Commercial Purpose, provided the results are published openly and are not used directly in the development or marketing of a commercial product.

2 · Grant

Subject to the conditions below, iXentLabs grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use, copy, modify and merge the Software solely for academic research, educational and non-commercial personal purposes.

This licence does not grant the right to distribute, publish, sublicense or otherwise make the Software available to third parties, whether modified or unmodified.

3 · Conditions

3.1 Attribution notice

This copyright notice and licence text must be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.

3.2 Citation

Any publication, paper or presentation making use of the Software must cite iXentBench™ and iXentLabs.

4 · Commercial licence

Any Commercial Purpose requires a separate written agreement granted by iXent Games S.L. Requests: contact@ixentlabs.com.

5 · Termination

This licence terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession. Sections 1, 6 and 7 survive termination.

6 · Disclaimer of warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the Software or its use.

7 · Governing law

This licence is governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute arising from it shall be submitted to the courts of Tarragona, Spain.
